BY PRODUCTS: We use NO animal by products, cheap plant proteins or cheap fillers.
PRESERVATIVES: We use NO chemical preservatives which are often added to pet foods and can be damaging to your dog’s health. Instead we choose to use the natural antioxidants Vitamin A & E to preserve the food.
The Ingredients
When you compare the ingredients and nutritional values of our Premium food against others you may be pleasantly surprised to find it is in fact, by volume, less expensive and healthier for your dog. Our premium food contains high levels of good quality protein sourced from human grade meat and poultry products.
PROTEIN: Many pet foods, especially the economy brands, use corn, gluten, soy , and bone meal as a major source of protein. We use human grade fish, lamb & chicken; it’s as simple as that!
VITAMIN A: Is an essential nutrient for the normal functioning of your dog’s visual system, for growth and development and appetite and taste.
VITAMIN E: A powerful antioxidant that works synergistically with other antioxidants to protect against cell damaging free radicals, boosting your dog’s immune system.
VITAMIN D: Works to maintain healthy bones and teeth and is thought to have an important anti-ageing role within the body.
COPPER: An essential nutrient that plays a role in the production of haemoglobin ( the main component of red blood cells) and myelin (the substance that surrounds nerve fibres) ....plus a full complement of...
B VITAMINS: The B complex vitamins can be found in all living tissues. B vitamins are essential for the functioning of your dog's nervous system, for good digestion, for the growth and maintenance of muscles, and for preventing skin conditions.
TRACE MINERALS: These are added to our premium dog food to supplement and help your dog’s immune system.
SUGAR BEET: Is highly digestible and provides an energy source that can improve the health of the colon. It is a slow to moderately fermentable fibre source, and is recommended as one of the best sources of fibre for dogs. Sugar beet pulp may have a slight advantage over some other fibre sources because if its benefit to the intestinal bacteria that help maintain colon health.
POULTRY FAT: Excellent for your dog's skin. Research shows that linoleum acid, found in poultry fat, is the only fatty acid proven to help dogs reduce itching and scratching.
BREWERS YEAST: A wonder food for your dog, providing most of the B vitamins , sixteen amino acids and fourteen or more minerals. The major B vitamins it contains are, B1 ( thiamine) - releases energy from carbohydrate in the diet and is important for the heart and nervous system. Vitamin B2 ( riboflavin) - releases energy from carbohydrate in the diet, and maintains healthy skin, eyes, and digestive tract. Vitamin B3 (Niacin) - releases energy from carbohydrate , and helps to maintain healthy skin, digestive tract and nervous system.
YUCCA EXTRACT: Beneficial for healthy skin and a gleaming coat, and to promote the healing of wounds. Yucca Extract is helpful in preventing arthritis, joint pain and joint inflammation. Yucca contains vitamins A, B-complex, C, Calcium , Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, Manganese and Copper.
RICE: An excellent hypo-allergenic low fat food source, a carbohydrate that is digested easily and slowly maintaining your dog's energy all day long. Rice will help protect your dogs' cells from free-radical damage. Rice is high in manganese, which helps utilize several key nutrients such as biotin, thiamine, ascorbic acid, and choline, keeps bones strong and healthy and helps the body synthesize fatty acids and cholesterol and maintain normal blood sugar levels. It is also a good source of the minerals selenium and magnesium.
SEAWEED MEAL: Packed full of vital nutrients and antioxidants, Seaweed Meal is great for your dogs’ fitness and safeguarding against disease. Also rich in iodine to keep energy levels balanced. Seaweed is an excellent source of nutrition containing a remarkable supply of vital nutrients, amino acids, vitamins and minerals , it is also rich in iron, to regulate your dogs’ hormones and eliminate toxins.
PEAS: Green garden peas are a valuable source of protein, iron and insoluble fibre. Insoluble fibre helps reduce cholesterol therefore reducing the risk of heart disease. They are also complex carbohydrates.
WHEAT & FLAKED MAIZE: We include wheat and flaked maize in our Vitality Muesli to increase the complex carbohydrate levels in the food to help increase stamina, fight fatigue and boost energy and performance levels in the working and active dog. Complex carbohydrates are the main source of blood glucose, which is a major fuel for all of the cells and the only source of energy for the brain and red blood cells. Except for fibre, which cannot be digested, complex carbohydrates are converted into glucose. The glucose is then used to provide energy for the dog's body.
OATS: Included in our Vitality Muesli as they are high in protein and can be easily and quickly digested. They are rich in silicon to help keep the bones strong. Oats are a complex carbohydrate that the working and active dogs body uses to maintain stamina, fight fatigue and boost energy and performance levels.
BARLEY: As well as providing bulk and decreasing the transit time of faecal matter, therefore decreasing the risk of colon cancer and haemorrhoids, barley's dietary fibre also provides food for the 'friendly' bacteria in the large intestine. When these helpful bacteria ferment barley's insoluble fibre, they produce a short-chain fatty acid called Butyric Acid, which serves as the primary fuel for the cells of the large intestine and helps maintain a healthy colon. These helpful bacteria also create two other short-chain fatty acids, Prop ionic and Acetic Acid, which are used as fuel by the cells of the liver to help lower blood cholesterol. Barley is also high in Selenium which helps regulate the metabolism including thyroid hormone metabolism.
